It’s Christmas week, so this snowy scene from Himachal Pradesh where we have rural homestays feels timely.
Thanks to Sahil for sharing.
These were are our other favourite India things on the web this week:
Protect Corbett National Park
Our Nanital homestay is the former home of Jim Corbett’s father. Corbett of course was the tiger hunter whose name was given to Corbett National Park. There is a great deal of concern about the protection of this amazing wildlife reserve. Here Kunzum previews a video that gives visitors some background on the park and what they can do to reduce damage created by tourism.
India in Images
We loved this photographic journey across India flagged up by Nanda. One of the best India Flickr sets we’ve seen.
Varkala Beach
Those looking for an alternative India beach holiday to the obvious choice of Goa might be interested in Carol’s review of her trip to Varkala in Kerala. If you fancy visiting, we have Kerala accommodation further up the coast.
India in December
Occasional Mahindra Homestays writer and India travel expert Sharell Cook has collected up a small gallery of India Christmas photos. She also produced a guide to festivals and fairs you can still catch this month.
Christmas is a time for giving, so why not share with us some of your favourite recent India finds?
We wish all our blog readers and followers on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube our best wishes for 2010 – happy travels!
