Our popular Photo of the Month contest is now open for September. After the submission deadline passes we’ll be putting up a shortlist of our favourite India photos – with links to their owners – and asking you to pick a winner.

And while the contest is mainly for fun and inspiration, we’ll still be sending an Amazon voucher for the chosen winner!

This month our theme is The Taste of India. From colourful spices to beautifully presented dishes Indian cuisine is a feast for the eyes as well as your taste buds offering the opportunity to capture some unique Indian images.. Some suggestions include:

• Beautifully presented dishes
• Ingredients such as spices
• Cooking
• Spice plantations
• Colourful food markets
• Fishermen with their daily catches

You can enter in five ways:

On Facebook: Just post your image to the wall as usual

On Flickr: Add your image to the Photo of the Month group

On Twitter: Tweet the image and include our Twitter name @indianhomestays plus the hashtag #indiaphoto

On the Blog: Leave us a comment below with a link to the image that you would like to enter.

You can enter more than once – you may submit up to 5 images if you wish. You may also re-enter an image you have submitted for a previous competition if you feel that it fits the theme, as long as it has not been previously short listed.
