Our popular Photo of the Month contest is now open for September. While the contest is mainly for fun and inspiration, there is a prize for the chosen winner!
This month our theme is worship!
In September festivals take place up and down the country, including Ganesh Chathurthi, one of the most vibrant festivals of India which celebrates the devotion for the elephant God, Ganesha. This month we are using the theme of worship for our photo contest.
There are a number of subjects that fit with the theme of worship:
- A place of worship, such as a temple
- A festival celebrating worship or devotion
- Statues or icons of worship
- The worship of animals
Take a look at the pictures below for inspiration of the type of shots we are looking for:
You can enter in four ways
Supply your image and a brief description of where the photo was taken in one of the following ways:
On Facebook: Just post your image to the wall as usual
On Flickr: Add your image to the Photo of the Month group
On Twitter: Tweet the image and include our Twitter name @indianhomestays
On the Blog: Leave us a comment below with a link to the image that you would like to enter.
Make sure you caption your photo to let us know where in India it was taken!
You can enter more than once – you may submit up to 5 images if you wish. You may also re-enter an image you have submitted for a previous competition if you feel that it fits the theme, as long as it has not been previously short listed.
The deadline for entries is 21 September 2011. Good luck everyone – and thanks for taking part.
