Our popular Photo of the Month contest is now open for February. After the submission deadline passes we’ll be putting up a shortlist of our favourite India photos – with links to their owners – and asking you to pick a winner.

And while the contest is mainly for fun and inspiration, there is a prize for the chosen winner!

This month our theme is Romantic India

Our destination of the month is Agra, home to one of the world’s most recognisable symbols of love, the Taj Mahal. With Valentines day just around the corner this month we are looking for photographs with a romantic theme.

You can find romance throughout India – from hidden romantic spots to pink sunsets over well known locations. You might spot romance in nature or be inspired by carvings on a temple.  The sort of images we are looking for include:

• Romantic sunsets
• Romantic icons such as the Taj Mahal
• Romance in nature
• An Indian wedding or family celebration

In fact anything that inspires love in India!

You can enter in four ways

Supply your image and a brief description of where the photo was taken in one of the following ways:

On Facebook: Just post your image to the wall as usual

On Flickr: Add your image to the Photo of the Month group

On Twitter: Tweet the image and include our Twitter name @indianhomestays

On the Blog: Leave us a comment below with a link to the image that you would like to enter.

You can enter more than once – you may submit up to 5 images if you wish. You may also re-enter an image you have submitted for a previous competition if you feel that it fits the theme, as long as it has not been previously short listed.
