We’ve been crunching data this month, looking at what our guests say about the Mahindra Homestays experience.
All this information is freely viewable on our main site. If you click on an individual homestay, you will notice a link called ‘Reviews’ where you can see what guests have said about their stay in specific properties.
Have a click around the site – there are some interesting comments.
We are delighted and proud of the feedback so far, but we are not complacent. We are analysing all the comments and ratings and we will be considering how we can improve even further.
Of 65 visitor reviews posted on the site, 62 gave their overall experience a satisfaction rating of 4 or 5 stars (out of five).
What we are looking at now is how we might tailor the Mahindra Homestays experience to meet the exact needs of visitors from different countries who may have varied expectations. We’d appreciate your feedback on this.
Like all good hosts, considering the needs of your guests is a duty you must be attentive to at all times, and we’re passionate about travellers seeing India through the real experience of an Indian family home.
What better time to book your homestay accommodation: five star reviews and now we’ve just announced a massive 50% reduction on bookings made before 30 September 2009.
Find out about the homestay experience and don't forget to check out our ideas on things to do in India or browse our India homestays.

5 stars would usually get these high…
I’m not so sure if this is backpack traveler friendly though.. I will have to do a search in http://www.baraaza.com/contest/ for more info…

Hi Mandino, Thanks for your visit and comment!
If you’re referring to five star hotels then yes, one would certainly expect a high level of satisfaction. We are delighted with the number of five star reviews received for our homestay accommodation – and yes, we’re backpacker friendly. I think the beauty of staying at one of the homestays is that you can tailor it to suit your needs. By researching each indidivual homestay on the website it is easy to plan an itinerary that will suit you and/or your group. The flexibility and diverse range of homestays available means you will always find something to meet your expectations…and the hosts will undoubtedly live up to expectations…I can vouch for that!
