This month we have been looking for an image inspired by the wonders of Kerala.

One of India’s most photographic locations, a maze of backwaters and rolling green hill stations provide plenty of sights to point your camera at. The standard of this months competition was probably the highest yet and we’ve got five stunning images for you to now choose between. There is a prize for the winner so make your choice and vote below!

Voting finishes Friday 27th August when the winner will be announced.

Our photo of the month competition has received a record number of entries this month. The theme was the monsoon season and your entries were diverse from pounding waterfalls to lush green landscapes. With so many entries to choose from we have a longer list of finalists to vote on than normal as we felt all these images deserved to be featured. Thank you everyone for entering, if your image didn’t make the final short list please try again next month.

Our popular Photo of the Month contest is now open for July. After the submission deadline passes we’ll be putting up a shortlist of three or four of our favourite India photos – with links to their owners – and asking you to pick a winner.

And while the contest is mainly for fun and inspiration, we’ll still be sending an Amazon voucher to the chosen winner!

This month our theme is inspired by the monsoon. During the monsoon season nature comes alive in India with waterfalls at their most spectacular and lush landscapes turning a vibrant green. The monsoon season in India inspires creativity and is a great time to explore India’s tourist attractions without the crowds. Your photo submissions don’t have to be taken during the monsoon season but should be inspired by it. Some suggestions include:

Green landscapes
Waterfalls
Reflections in water
Escaping the rain
Dramatic, stormy sky over well known sights

The June photo of the month had a record number of voters with “Nearby Ladakh” by Shubham Gaur edging ahead as the final winner.

Our photo of the month competition has been more popular than ever this month. For June the theme was ‘inspired by Ladakh‘. We were looking for one photo, not necessarily taken in Ladakh, that provides inspiration for this beautiful, isolated region surrounded by mountains. We had a huge number of entries and it was a challenge to choose the finalists so this month we have five pictures for you to vote on. Ladakh provides the inspiration for this month's contest

This month our theme is inspired by Ladakh. The stark, stunning beauty of Ladakh will impress even seasoned travellers as you drive or fly over snow capped mountains. Your photo doesn’t necessarily need to be taken in Ladakh, but should be inspired by it and has to be taken in India. Some suggestions include:

Snow capped mountains
Ancient Buddhist monasteries
Extreme environments

Our popular photo of the month competition continues, and for May the theme was ‘ways to keep cool‘. We were looking for one photo to suggest a way to escape the heat of summer. We had a variety of entries, from escaping to one of India’s popular hill stations to the imaginative use of Rupees as a fan.
