10 Great Deewali Photos – India’s Festival Of Lights

India’s most popular festival is approaching.

Deewali (Diwali, Deepavali) is the celebration of light over dark, of good over evil, taking place this year on 17 October. If you don’t know much about it, read a beginners’ guide here.

With its plentiful lights, fireworks and human joy, the occasion delivers some awe-inspiring images for photographers. So we thought we’d pick out a few of our favourites...

Note that many people choose to go away for Deewali – we have late availability on many of our homestays, and our new 25% discount offer applies.
